As a Product Marketing Specialist - APIs, you will play a key role in translating the API strategy into clear, compelling value for partners, and customers. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to drive awareness, adoption, and integration of APIs across our CCH platform. This includes enabling a scalable ecosystem of integrations, partners, and third-party applications that extend the value of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is execution-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about simplifying technical concepts into impactful narratives that drive adoption, partner growth, and revenue expansion.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for APIs, articulating the value of the platform, integrations, and ecosystem to both technical and business audiences
Shape and evolve the ecosystem narrative, positioning APIs as a core driver of customer value, innovation, and partner-led growth
Create and maintain API-focused content optimizing for discovery, usability, and conversion
Support go-to-market execution for API launches, enhancements, and new integrations, ensuring consistent, scalable launch frameworks
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to deeply understand API capabilities (e.g., data access, workflow integration, automation) and translate them into compelling use cases
Conduct market, customer, and competitive research focused on tax & accounting platforms, APIs, and connected ecosystems to inform positioning and GTM strategy
Develop and execute targeted programs that drive API adoption, integrations, and ecosystem expansion
Enable Sales and Customer Success teams with clear API value narratives, use cases, and integration-led selling motions that support upsell and cross-sell
Create high-impact assets such as integration playbooks, ecosystem value propositions, partner case studies, and technical sales enablement materials
Requirements (years of experience, educational background, technical skills, etc.):
3-5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Developer Marketing, or Technical Marketing in a B2B SaaS or platform environment
Experience working with APIs, integrations, or platform ecosystems, ideally within enterprise or vertical SaaS (tax, accounting, finance, or adjacent domains)
Strong ability to translate technical concepts (APIs, endpoints, authentication, integrations, workflows) into clear, differentiated business value
Experience supporting go-to-market initiatives for platform capabilities, APIs, or integrations
Familiarity with developer ecosystems, API documentation tools, and integration frameworks
Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation, and data/analytics platforms is a plus
Proven ability to create both developer-facing and business-facing content, balancing technical depth with commercial clarity
Experience conducting competitive analysis, particularly around platform ecosystems and integration-led differentiation
Strong collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across technical and executive audiences
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple API launches, integrations, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
